As an educator, Miss Tee believes that music education should be both structured and exploratory, fostering discipline, creativity, and self-expression. She tailors her approach to each student’s unique strengths, interests, and goals, creating a personalized learning experience that balances technical proficiency with artistic freedom.

For piano students, lessons typically begin with the Faber Piano Adventures method to build a solid foundation in technique, theory, and musicianship. As students develop confidence and proficiency, lessons expand to include ear training, repertoire exploration, and performance techniques. With a strong classical background, DANiiVORY incorporates traditional piano pedagogy while also embracing modern, practical approaches to help students develop well-rounded skills. Drawing from her extensive experience in pop and contemporary music, she encourages students to learn by rote while also gaining a deep understanding of harmony, melody, and music theory.

For vocal students, lessons are designed to strengthen range, tone, confidence, and stage presence. Students are encouraged to bring a song of their choice to their trial lesson, allowing Miss Tee to assess their voice and create a customized plan that builds their technical skills and expressive abilities. Whether working with beginners or seasoned singers, her goal is to develop a strong and versatile vocal repertoire that challenges and inspires growth.

Ukulele and guitar students are required to bring their own instruments to lessons. Each session is customized to the student’s age, skill level, and musical interests, ensuring a personalized and engaging learning experience. Whether a beginner learning foundational chords or an advanced player refining technique and style, lessons focus on building strong musicianship, creativity, and confidence.

Believing that performance is a vital part of becoming a musician, DANiiVORY provides her students with the opportunity to perform in front of a live audience at bi-annual recitals. These performances not only help students gain confidence but also allow vocalists to experience the thrill of singing with a live band—an invaluable aspect of professional musicianship.
